Ashley J. Alexander
Ashley J. Alexander, PhD, joined OSP in July 2015 and has over ten years of sponsored research experience. As Director, Ashley is responsible for providing leadership, support and continuous process improvement for pre-award and post-award services for grants and contracts for all academic units and multiple research centers at American University. Additionally, Ashley communicates current information to faculty and academic units regarding sponsor requirements, federal policies, and national best practices. Ashley also works to enhance relationships with federal and non-federal funding agencies. Ashley's unit constituencies are the School of Professional and Extended Studies (SPExS) and the Center for Latin American and Latino Studies (CLALS). Before joining AU’s OSP, Ashley worked in sponsored research administration positions at Loyola Marymount University and Southern University and A&M College.
