Amanda is the business librarian at American University, supporting the research needs of the faculty and students in the Kogod School of Business. In 2016, she earned a PhD in Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studied the cultural adaptation of international students to higher education in the United States. Her research explored these students’ perceptions of research, writing, and academic integrity. Prior to entering the doctoral program, she was the coordinator of instruction at the American University in Cairo (AUC). Amanda's research interests include the globalization of higher education, academic integrity, information literacy, and open access.
